Services
We offer a complete healthcare service
Dental care
We take your pet’s oral health seriously, and will make sure your dog or cat gets exactly what they need – whether it’s a regular cleaning or (in advanced cases) an extraction. Modern equipment and digital dental x-rays allow us to offer the highest standard of dental care.
Wellness Exams
Our wellness exams include blood chemistry profiles based on age, complete blood counts, urinalysis, heart health screening in cats, and heart worm and tick screening for dogs. These are routine diagnostics that are recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners for early detection of diseases in otherwise healthy animals.
Spays & Neuters
We perform routine surgeries (such as spay or neuter), soft tissue surgery, as well as more complicated or advanced procedures. Anesthetic protocols are individually tailored to your animal’s needs and every animal is closely monitored using EKG, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure measurements throughout every procedure.
Your pet’s safety and well-being is the highest priority to us. For the safety and comfort of your pet during the surgical operation, we take all necessary precautions. We will provide you all the details you need to get ready for your pet’s procedure, and we’ll be here to answer any inquiries you might have.We will give you comprehensive advice on how to care for your pet at home after the procedure. Post-op rechecks are recommended as necessary to ensure your pets successful recovery.
Vaccinations
For Dogs: Vaccines for canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies are considered core vaccines. Non-core vaccines are given depending on the dog’s exposure risk. These include vaccines against Bordetella bronchiseptica, Borrelia burgdorferi and Leptospira bacteria.
For Cats: Vaccines for panleukopenia (feline distemper), feline calicivirus, feline herpesvirus type I (rhinotracheitis) and rabies are considered core vaccines. Non-core vaccines are given depending on the cat's lifestyle; these include vaccines for feline leukemia virus, Bordetella, Chlamydophila felis and feline immunodeficiency virus.
Your veterinarian can determine what vaccines are best for your pet. Vaccination plans start with the required vaccines for all dogs, but you determine what additional vaccines are necessary for each of your patients.
All dogs should have the following core vaccines: • Distemper • Adenovirus • Parvovirus• +/- Parainfluenza (often included in combination vaccines)• Rabies
Other vaccines are just as essential to an individual dog’s health,
depending on the dog’s lifestyle and risk factors. These include:
• Leptospira (should be considered for
most dogs based on increased prevalence)
• Lyme disease
• Bordetella
• Canine influenza
Laser Therapy
Veterinary laser therapy is an innovative treatment that has gained popularity in recent years as veterinarians discover its benefits for pets. Used similarly to acupuncture, massage therapy, and other alternative therapies, laser treatment can be used in conjunction with, or instead of, medication to manage pain, inflammation, and wound healing.
